Beam N Read Review and Giveaway!

http://readinglight.com/cgi-exec/store/genpages/images/BNR_LED_6_Magnifier.jpg
Hey Everyone! Sorry I have been sporradic for so long, it has been so busy around here! I really do have a great plan for getting back on track with blogging, you just have to have some patience with me please! I am here today with another wonderful opportunity from Fashionista Events hosted by the lovely ladies behind Still Blonde after all these Years and Modly Chic for Fashion!

I received the BNR LED 6-3 Beam N Read ® LED 6 Deluxe Hands Free Light  for review and I have to tell you that I love my Beam N Read, I have not used it for reading yet, but it has been amazing for my crafting. I have been working on a Waldorf style doll for my son, and since it is only 10 inches, the stitching is teeny tiny, or at least it should be. I’m a novice doll maker, so it’s not perfect. I was really struggling with the hand stitching that I needed to do, but now with the Beam N Read, I am not having any trouble getting the stitching nice and small! I love it! It is so easy to use, and works great! The lights are super bright, I accidently almost blinded my brother and dad when I was goofing off and shined it in their eyes. The filters are super cool too! I was able to work with it in the car while my husband drove, and he didn’t have any issues with the lights bothering him. My mom tried it on and she really liked it and I am thinking this will also be a great gift for my dad for Christmas, or maybe his birthday! I think he will get a lot of use out of it. I know I already am! I am thinking of keeping one in the car for emergencies too, I love the fact that it is hands free, and the strap that goes around your neck is elastic and adjustable, so it’s going to fit anyone. I am also impressed at the fact that it has two settings, unlike a lot of other lights, so I can choose just how bright I want it to be. The one thing I am worried about is tossing it in my bag without the box as there is no switch to keep it off, when you move the light to an angle it turns itself on. This won’t be a problem for most people though, and so far it hasn't been an issue for me, I've been carrying it in my bag for 2 days now with no issue. Beam N Read also has several different option available for everyone- 3 light, 6 light, both (like the one I have and love) with no filters, 2 filters, 4 filters, you can even get the magnifier separate! This is absolutely my favorite new "toy" and I have a ton of other projects it is going to help me with!

So check out these pictures, the first is through the beam and read magnifer, the second is without, the doll is in the same place for both. See how much closer it looks? Sorry they are upside down!

This one is me, sporting my Beam N Read, I’m going to make this trendy! (Thanks to my husband for taking the picture!)

A short break

Oh give me patience when wee hands tug at me
with their small demands.

And give me gentle
and smiling eyes.

Keep my lips
from hasty replies.

And let not weariness, confusion or noise obscure my vision of life’s
fleeting joys.

So when, in years to come, my house is still,
no bitter memories its rooms may fill

Rumparooz–A Mama’s Emporium Review

IMG_20121026_130628

I like cloth diapers, I like the money it saves, I like how it’s good for the environment, I like how cute my son’s fluffy little butt looks in them, even if it means he can’t wear overalls in the proper size because they all unsnap between the legs. However, I was at a point where I didn’t care about cloth diapering. They diapers were all blurring together, I was getting frustrated because a change in detergent combined with a new HE washer was causing an ammonia problem (but that’s a story for another post) but then it happened- I won a giveaway.
I am a member of “Mama's Emporium Market Research Group”  and a fan of her Facebook Page, and I will be honest, I don’t remember which was giving away the diaper, but I do remember I won it. (PS check out her website here- this is an affiliate link)
It arrived and it was cute, I got to choose the adorable grey color, (a color that was missing from my amazing stash) and I loved it. The diaper went into my stash, and I didn’t think about it much. It entered rotation, and we used it problem free, and to be honest, when I reached for it, it was because of the color.
IMG_20121026_130651
This is where it gets good. One day a mama on one of my cloth diapering groups asked if anyone had tried Rumparooz and what we thought about them. I quickly wrote her back what I thought to be the truth off the top of my head. I told her they were a decent diaper, they did their job, but they didn’t stand out. After thinking about it for a minute I realized I was wrong (make note, that doesn’t happen often.) I quickly wrote her back with a list of things I love about the diaper! I will now tell you these things:
The PUL is very high quality, it seems a bit thicker than other PUL we have used.
The way it fits is very nice, the inserts aren’t too bulky.
It comes with a regular insert, and a newborn/doubler insert.
IMG_20121026_125053IMG_20121026_125107
It has a great fit, and I can see these diapers being used from birth to potty training.
My favorite feature however has to be the double gussets.  These things are amazing, and no other diaper comes close to something this great. What goes in the diaper, stays in the diaper. It’s like a castle fortress- or the opposite cause you know nothing gets out.
I got the snap closure because I am lazy and never remember to close the laundry tabs, and neither does my husband. I really like the snaps. Very sturdy. Honestly, with the Rumparooz  high quality diaper, fun colors and prints, I think I have found a new favorite diaper!
So if you are looking for a high quality, diaper that will last, go to mama’s emporium and buy one! Every order comes with great samples, and fantastic service! Right now Mama has a great raffle going on, I have already won more prizes I can’t wait to review for Mama! So make sure to grab some tickets, or a grab bag that comes with a ticket (my grab bag had a lanolin sample that I suggested I might like.)

There was no compensation provided for this review, I won the diaper and decided to write it. This article does however contain an affiliate link.

Cleva Review- Gearing up for the Fashionista Giveaway!

Ladies, I am happy to announce my sponsor for the Fashionista events giveaway!
CLEAVA LOGO BLACK
So, the Cleava is a handy little triangle of fabric that you snap to your bra in order to cover up some cleavage when you need it. I got mine in the mail and I tried it on right away, I honestly didn’t even read the directions, it’s that simple. However, here is their diagram if you need it.
Hang Tag Back 3-04-2010 copy

I was impressed with the quality of the materials, the cami section is silky and sturdy, the snaps are put on well, and the lace is attached nicely. I don’t have any fear of it falling apart.
I also like that it is adjustable, there are different snap settings depending on where you need the size to be. It is also handy for breastfeeding! You can even leave it on with a nursing bra to help keep the ladies covered when pulling down your shirt. It’s a great way to make the same top go from mommy group to date night, or work to ladies night out. It is also going to be nice for covering cleavage without the bulkiness or heat of adding extra layers!
This is what mine looks like:

So leave me a comment here, telling me which Cleava  product you would like! And look out because 10/11/12 I am giving away one 4 pack of these to one lucky winner! If you don't want to wait to see if you've won, Cleava is offering FREE SHIPPING to anyone who purchases! Use the code FSFM

So go ahead, like them on Facebook, follow them on Twitter and check them out on Pinterest!
